Our Defense, Our Army!

Our photo, now at home on the wall of a happy customer!

At the beginning of our journey, we only offered postcards, but no photography yet. They were greeting cards for every occasion, and we already knew we had to expand our offerings. But we also discovered something within ourselves: creating those greeting cards didn’t bring us much fulfillment. We spent hours designing in Illustrator, thinking, “Let’s go mainstream, cards that everyone likes…” Today, we think differently. We no longer spend hours designing greeting cards in Illustrator. Back then, we were still searching for our identity. A few orders came in, but deep inside, they didn’t spark joy. We decided to change course, to step outside more, and began photographing. That’s when we realized that this truly makes us happy. Through photography, we gained deeper insight into what we truly want to do. That doesn’t mean we’re saying goodbye to greeting cards, but we will focus more on our vision, identity, and soul.

After the summer of 2024, we launched our first photo postcards. We gained more website visitors and a few more orders, fully aware that we must fight against a fast-moving digital world. Our work is an act of resistance in times of war, a conscious choice to create images that linger, evoke feelings, speak, and hold meaning.

Every social media platform spits out tons of fleeting, meaningless content daily. AI is becoming more dominant, generating statues that come to life and step off their pedestals without context, emotion, or a story. Cats with wallpaper patterns, just to name a few. Often, these videos lack depth, character, and soul. The algorithm decides what holds value, and such posts receive mass likes and are eagerly shared. We also see a rise in “stolen” content on platforms like LinkedIn, leadership qualities, or services repackaged as identity-building tools. It undermines the very values of creativity and craftsmanship. Hype and trends filled with superheroes, Muppets, and Simpson caricatures flood our feeds daily. "Don’t believe the hype,"  said Public Enemy in 1988, and they were right.

It reminds us of the film “Pulp Fiction”; the title alone… “Pulp Fiction”. John Travolta (Vincent) and Samuel L. Jackson (Jules) sit in a diner, debating whether or not to eat pork. One loves it, while the other sees it as a filthy animal and refuses to eat it. The conversation escalates toward dog meat, to which Samuel L. Jackson responds, A dog has personality, and his quote, “Personality goes a long way,” hits hard. The phrase means that a strong personality can make a significant impact and take someone far in life. It suggests charm, character, and presence are more important than outward appearances or other qualifications. This is our battle cry, our declaration of authenticity in an era overshadowed by superficiality. As “postcard photographers,” we are on a mission not to capture images, but to capture moments that feel, speak, and resonate.

In February 2024, we launched photos in larger formats, Medium and Large, a request we had received from customers for some time. Setting everything up properly took sweat, effort, and the resolution of mathematical challenges. So we asked our customers: What do you do with our photos and postcards?

Our photos and postcards make their way into the most diverse settings and occasions. From a framed postcard on the wall to a magnetic spot on the fridge, a bookmark in a planner, or a carefully curated collage, every image finds a meaningful home. Our larger photo formats decorate offices, living rooms, and even entrance halls as refined decorative elements. But sometimes, our images take on a deeper role. One customer told us they now gift a photo instead of flowers, a lasting gift full of emotion. And another story left us completely astonished: Our photo postcards are being used as condolence cards, where flowers and landscapes provide comfort in difficult times. If you wish to use our cards this way, let us know, and we will gladly ensure a blank back for your message.

Our battle is not a solitary one. People say that age softens and sharp edges fade, but we know better. Emigration, art, and capturing genuine moments make us fiercer and more rebellious than ever. We refuse to surrender to a world that is flattening and simplifying.

And we are not alone. Together with our customers, we form an army of rebels. Not followers of trends but individuals with their own voice. Most of them are over forty, a generation that values images that are more than just pixels and algorithms. Our customers are not anonymous statistics, they are personalities. Each one carries a signature that cannot be copied.

This is not a farewell. This is a statement. A promise that we will keep creating, because art with a soul is timeless. Thank you for being part of this movement.
